Another top ten for the Brit in Malaysia as the pairing continue raking in the points

After a best finish for Leon Camier of P4 at MV Agusta Reparto Corse’s home Round at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, both rider and team were ready for the very different challenge of Sepang International Circuit as the WorldSBK paddock headed east to Malaysia.

After a P10 finish in Race 1, Camier went one better in the wet conditions of Sunday’s Race 2 to finish in ninth and score another good amount of points in a season that has seen the Italian outfit keep gaining momentum and top ten finishes. The Brit moved into eighth in the title standings after Race 2 at Sepang, just head of Pata Yamaha rider Alex Lowes.

“All in all it wasn’t such a bad race but I was hoping for a little bit better in the rain,” said Camier. “It took a few laps to get into the rhythm because I made a really bad start but when I got into it, I started passing several riders and the lap time wasn’t so bad. We were missing some speed in wet conditions but the feeling with the chassis is really good.”

The next Round of the 2016 Championship will be Camier’s home Round at Donington Park in the UK at the end of May. The UK track is very different to Sepang, with Camier and MV Agusta hoping to keep their points finishes rolling and move further up the grid once again.
